From the HCHB President

Greetings Family and Friends,
We greet each and every one of you and hope that this season of the year has been good to you. This spring we had one situation after the other and just have not been able to put together a team.
Have you ever wondered why you do what you do? Is it just for the financial gain? Is it for the power and prestige that goes with it? Is it because no one else is doing it or is there a bigger reason? Depending on the way you answer this question, you will need to have some discussion with your family. Or at the least, evaluate your priorities. For us as a family, we are passionately united in whatever we do. We do it with all we have, holding nothing back. Sometimes this is good, but other times not so good. We knew that when we started this ministry there would be things that wouldn’t work or timing would be off. For Hubert, that sometimes is difficult. He makes a decision and then runs with it. We have been working at getting a team to minister to the local church in Belize, but there were issues that needed to be dealt with. So we kept putting it off. Now the time is right to go to encourage and pray with the leaders of the local church. If you know someone that LOVES to PRAY and INTERSCEDE, please let us know. We also need to come up with a more set time schedule to take medical teams. We would love to coordinate with the other teams that go so that we can follow up after each other with the patients who are being treated. Our understanding is that that the program that we started with Dr. Chaudry is continuing to work it’s way.
At this point, due to family conflict, we will be going with a medical team the week of Christmas and New Year. So here are the new dates for teams:
October 2008- Medical team (Diabetes and asthma internists)
Dec.27-Jan 3, ’09- Medical team (Orthopedic and urology surgeries)
April ’09 Ministry team if not before
July ’09 Youth ministry/Work team
